The rain is picking up as we cross into Friday afternoon here, and the heaviest of our weekend wetness is supposed to occur in the next few hours. And, predictably, the rain has caused delays and cancellations at SFO, with KRON 4 reporting that there have been 58 flights canceled so far today.

Delays are across the board at the airport, and are expected to continue through 11 p.m.

It also doesn't help that United Airlines, one of SFO's biggest carriers, had a major technical snafu late Thursday into early Friday that caused widespread delays for United travelers, some as long as six hours according to the Associated Press. United tweeted that the issue, which was reportedly with their weight reporting system, was resolved as of 3 a.m.

Make sure to check on those flight statuses if you're heading anywhere today!

Also, that delay on BART trains traveling south of Daly City continues, but it's down to just 10 minutes.
