With less than a month before a presidential election will indicate if more voting Americans are sane decent human beings or bigoted monsters, the (in some cases, admittedly begrudging) choice of the sane decent human contingent will be in San Francisco today, likely snarling traffic in the Civic Center area.
It's true, votes are already rolling in for the November 8 election, with early voting kicking off this past Monday. But that doesn't mean the campaign to ensure that a man who brags about committing sexual battery isn't our Commander in Chief is over, hence Hillary Clinton's fundraiser today at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
Tickets for the event, which includes a performance from San Diego-based singer Andra Day range from $45 to $50,000. As of publication time, tickets at all price ranges had been sold out, and the 6000-seat Bill Graham will presumably be at capacity.
KRON 4 reports that the event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is expected to cause "extra traffic around the city, especially by the Bill Graham Auditorium."
One might speculate that Clinton will address issues like the rising tide of sexual assault allegations against the Republican nominee, but speculate is all we reporters can do, as the Chron reports that "no press is allowed" at the fundraiser, "not even a humble pool reporter."
That said, if you went and have anything to report, we'd be happy to hear it. Drop us a line! And, everyone else, today more than ever might be the day to avoid driving in the Civic Center area, as it sounds like it's going to be even more of a mess than usual.
