Hunter Pence Got Hit In The Face With A Baseball And His Black Eye Is Terrifying

San Francisco Giant Hunter Pence had a bit of a rough day yesterday. Not only did the team lose the game against the Washington Nationals, but KRON 4 reports that the injury-prone right fielder took a foul ball right to the face — resulting in quite the black eye.

"I forget that I have a black eye and I scare people," Pence tweeted out today along with a photo of showcasing the massive bruise. To add insult to injury, he fouled the ball into his own face.

Pence finished the game yesterday, and his lighthearted tweet clearly shows that he's taking it all in stride.

Perhaps he could add a little orange eyeliner for a Giants-themed battle wound?
