You know that doggy surfing competition I told you about earlier? Well it happened on Friday at the Coliseum in Oakland, with the help of that huge portable wave machine on a tractor trailer called the Gnarly Crank’n K-9 Wave Maker, and there is video of some of the contestants.

As ABC 7 reports, the organization behind the event, the Lucy Pet Foundation, brought the wave maker to Ocean Beach first on Thursday where the video above was taken featuring expert surfer Sully, the English bulldog, and an unnamed dachshund who is also quite adept at the surfing.

The Lucy Pet Foundation, who was ostensibly auditioning dogs Friday as part of a national tour in preparation for bringing the wave machine to the Rose Parade in January, is dedicated to reducing the number of pets euthanized nationwide.
