A San Francisco man is getting around town a little more slowly today, after a gang of muggers callously pulled his mode of transportation from his feet.
It was 1:15 Monday morning when the victim, a 29-year-old man, was rollerblading near 23rd and Dakota Streets, which is between the Potrero Hill Recreation Center and the Potrero Terrace and Annex public housing developments.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, four men approached the rollerblader, "and began forcefully going through his pockets and asking him where his money was."
Two of the suspects then punched the rollerblader "in his face and head multiple times," and he fell to the ground, police say.
Once the man was on the ground, one of the suspects pulled the rollerblades from the victim's feet and swiped his cell phone charger, police say. They then fled with the loot, and haven't been seen since.
The victim, who was suffering from head pain following the attack, didn't require transport to the hospital, police say.
