A white big-rig truck struck a tree early Tuesday morning and toppled it onto a tent where two homeless men were sleeping, on Folsom Street in the Mission District. The truck then fled the scene.

As NBC Bay Area reports, via the video coverage above, the incident happened around 4 a.m., and both the men suffered minor injuries, which were treated curbside by medical personnel.

Because of the injuries, police say this is now being investigated as a hit-and-run.

The truck is described as having a Volvo front grill.
