In preparation for another shoot today in the Castro for When We Rise, the production crew was laying down some coverings to mask the relatively recent rainbow crosswalks, in order to keep with the 1970s look of the neighborhood. No vintage signage has been put up the way it was for the Milk shoot eight years ago, however the recently added palm trees on Castro Street have been bound in burlap so that they can be kept out of film shots.

This week's shoot follows on others last week and over the weekend, including a reenactment of the White Night Riot in front of City Hall.
