A BMW was in a serious crash with another vehicle just after noon today on the Embarcadero near Bryant Street, leaving three people injured, two of them critically. As KRON 4 reports, via tweets from the SFFD, the collision happened at 12:09 p.m., and police are on the scene investigating.

N-Judah, T-Third, and E-Embarcadero service may be disrupted for the time being, and drivers are being told to avoid the area.

Fire department spokesman Jonathan Baxter confirms that the three injured were hospitalized, and one is in stable condition.

Update: The Chronicle reports that the jaws of life were needed to get the two injured people out of the BMW.
