Alphabet/Google-owned robotics company Boston Dynamics, the people behind those crazy robot war dogs, has just unleashed upon us yet another bit of nightmare fuel. Specifically: The new and improved Atlas Robot. Watch the above video in terror as the latest version of the terminator-like robot tromps through the snowy woods, likely plotting your demise.

Described by the company as "a high mobility, humanoid robot designed to negotiate outdoor, rough terrain," Atlas is shown picking up boxes labeled as weighing 10 pounds — which, coincidence or not, just so happens to be the average weight of an adult human head. Oh, and the video depicts Atlas leaping back to its feet after being knocked over by a puny human.

Engadget tells us that the new and improved Atlas, which is what we see in the video, is 5 feet 9 inches and comes in around 180 pounds. If you're planning on taking refuge inside a building when these things inevitably rise up, take note: Atlas can open doors.
