Day Around The Bay: More About The Man Who Drowned Saving His Wife From A Pacifica Sneaker Wave

  • We noted in brief yesterday the tragic story of 61-year-old Larry Moore, who was swept up in a violent undertow and drowned Tuesday attempting to save his wife who'd fallen into the water after being hit by a sneaker wave on a Pacifica Beach. His wife, 63-year-old Claudia Moore, tells the [Chronicle] she survived by floating to the surface and letting the wave sweep her offshore where she was rescued. Word of warning: She was walking in just inches of water after picnicking when this happened.
