Both the human police and animal cops are seeking a Fairfield woman today, after video posted online appears to show her violently tossing her dog into the street during an argument with her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend.

According to David Shields, who posted the video to Facebook, it's Brandi Chin that we see dragging her pug, Ben, by the neck before she heaves him into the road.

ABC7 reports that the throw happened during a December 19 argument with Ben (yes, the same name as the dog) Perez, her then boyfriend, on a Fairfield street. Here's the video:

"Maybe she meant it to hurt me by doing it, I'm not sure I can't really speak for her, but I know that the dog is fine," Perez told ABC7. But Solano County Animal Services and the Fairfield Police Department aren't so sure about that, and are are seeking Chin for suspected animal cruelty.

According to Animal Services Sergeant Michael Ramirez, Chin's's allegedly hurt the pup before.

“She was recently seen walking down the business district in Fairfield and she apparently had the dog by the tail and she was swinging it around,” he told CBS5.

“We are currently looking for her at this time. She is, from what I understand, hiding from us,” Ramirez told KTXL.

“I think that she should be punished and maybe someone should talk to her about animal cruelty,” Candy Seward, Ben Perez's roommate, told CBS5. Perez isn't so sure, telling ABC7 that "I don't think she should be charged anything like that at all. That dog loves her you know. She loves the dog. They're tight. You would be able to see that if you see them together."

But when it comes down to it, it's not up to Chin's ex, and Animal Services Officer Alex Schwarz tells ABC7 that they are on her tail.

"We've been tracking down every lead that we get talking with people who know her," Schwarz says. "They have advised us that the last known whereabouts was in Vallejo."

Anyone with information on the location of Chin's hideout is urged to contact Animal Services at (707) 784-1356.
