A gunman is on the loose after killing a San Francisco man on a busy Mission District street Sunday.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office has identified 26-year-old SF resident Hector Salvador as the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday at 2:10 a.m. Salvador was shot in the torso by an unknown suspect at 16th and Hoff Streets, which is between Mission and Valencia Streets in the Mission.
He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.
The gunman used a handgun in the slaying, police say. As of publication time, they did not have any additional information on the suspect, but say that no arrests have been made.
Salvador's death is San Francisco's 46th homicide for 2015, taking the city past last year's count of 45.
