A brief, blurry, far-away snippet of surveillance video from a parking lot beside which Sunday's pedestrian hit-and-run occurred may show the Hot Cop of Castro Christopher Kohrs fleeing the scene on foot. Meanwhile, the two victims in the incident remain hospitalized, but one has had his condition improved to fair.

As ABC 7 shows us in the video above, the video shows the immediate aftermath of the crash, which happens some distance from the camera, and as multiple people can be seen rushing to the aid of the victims, you can see one tall, shadowy figure running quickly in the opposite direction down the street.

A 2009 Dodge Charger registered to Kohrs was traveling westbound on Broadway in North Beach, near Montgomery, when it struck two men in their 40s at 2:20 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and Kohrs only later turned himself into police, sometime around 10 a.m. according to one officer with an arrest made after 2 p.m. according to the Examiner (who now have a booking photo), meaning that sobriety tests would be inconclusive for the time for the time of the accident. SFPD spokesman Sgt. Michael Andraychak tells the Chronicle that, "Sobriety is something they are looking into as a possible factor in the collision."

Kohrs remains out on a $100,000 bond, and has not commented to the media. His attorney, Anthony Tall, tells CBS 5, "I don’t believe my client was drunk." The district attorney's office has not yet received the case to decide on any charges.

The two victims have now been identified as Franco Vilchez, an Iraq War vet, and Victor Perez. Both suffered broken jaws and Perez has a broken leg, but it sounds as though Vilchez was the more seriously injured, with a broken neck, nose, eye socket, missing teeth, and brain hemorrhaging, per friends who spoke to ABC 7.

As of today, the Hot Cop of Castro Facebook page, which was still live on Monday with over 52,000 likes, has been taken down. The page creator, Nathan Tatterson, posted a note saying, "I'm am deeply saddened and extremely disappointed about the incident involving Officer Chris this weekend... [and] based on what I've read I don't think it's appropriate to keep this page going."
