A semi-truck crashed into a utility pole on De Haro near 20th Street this morning, reports The San Francisco Examiner, knocking over the pole and cutting power to 11,000 residents in the process across the Mission and Potrero Hill.
In a photo taken by SFPD, it appears the bed of the truck came to a rest fully blocking De Haro Street. The police note that the street, between 20th and 19th, could be closed until tomorrow morning — depending on how long it takes PG&E to restore the damaged utilities.
Sidebar: This SFist editor was one of the many to lose power because of this, but it was restored as of 11:15 a.m.
