The body of missing Salesforce IT worker Raghavendra "Raghu" Indugula, 31, was found in Lake Del Valle last week, just outside Livermore, as KPIX/CBS 5 is reporting. Indugula was on a team-building excursion to the lake with some coworkers on October 2 when a boat they were in began filling with water. Everyone on board managed to swim ashore, but they later realized that Indugula was missing.
Search crews spent days scouring the lake to no avail, ultimately suspending the search Tuesday, and it wasn't until a fisherman spotted the body floating in the lake Wednesday morning that authorities believed he'd been found. As the Contra Costa Times reports, via an East Bay Regional Park District spokeswoman, the body was found not far from where boat incident happened, south of the lake's marina.
Reportedly, none of the boat's passengers had life vests.
The Alameda County coroner’s bureau confirmed today that the body belonged to Indugula.
Sadly, he leaves behind a wife and one-year-old daughter. Indugula moved to the U.S. three years ago, first working in Georgia before taking a job at Salesforce six months ago.
Salesforce issued a statement saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with Raghu's family and friends during this difficult time."
