Fans of gay blogs may be familiar with hairstylist Jonathan Van Ness and his ongoing Funny or Die series Gay of Thrones in which he recaps Game of Thrones episodes in his own hilarious style as he would if he were chatting with a client while doing their hair. Now Van Ness appears as one of several characters in a new parody video from local drag queen Honey Mahogany, whom you may recognize from her weekly Mahogany Mondays at Midnight Sun in the Castro, or from reruns of Rupaul's Drag Race.
The song, "Hot for the Winter," is obviously a parody of Demi Lovato's hit "Cool for the Summer," with Honey dressed as Daenerys Targaryen.
The song and video were written and directed by local funny man Adrian Anchondo (who also worked with Honey to bring us that Beyoncé parody last year), and also features Adrian along with Israel Hermes, Drew Droege, and Christian Gabriel.
