A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized after being stabbed by a 27-year-old woman on a Muni bus.

Around 3 p.m. on Thursday, as the 23-Monterey bus drove through the Bayview District near Palou Avenue and Jennings Street, 27-year old Sharinna Beoncia Grady got into an argument with a fifth grader and stabbed him in the shoulder and the hand, a spokesman for the SFPD says. Passengers restrained Grady and took the knife away, and officers later arrested the woman according to Bay City News.

Although the Grady and the victim were not related, SFGate says the two knew each other prior to the stabbing.

The boy was taken to the hospital with stab wounds to his shoulder and hands, and a scrape on his cheek. Grady was booked on attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
