In an event whose details are as vague yet certain and promising as Kanye West's presidential ambitions — the self-declared God recently announced he would run for office in 2020 — the Democratic National Committee is hosting an event in San Francisco on October 10th that is likely sure to include the current, actual president and a musical performance from West, as the Chronicle has now confirmed.

A contribution page selling tickets from $250 to $10,000 for a fundraiser event whose "location available upon RSVP" and a photo of the President.

Political writer Carla Marinucci, whom Politico poached from the Chronicle last week, seems to know more. The tweet in question:

Representatives from the Democratic National Committee could not confirm West's or Obama's appearances to SFist when reached for comment, and the Warfield doesn't have any details on their website about the evening of the 10th. Nonetheless, NBC is reporting this all as hard fact.

West would/will perform songs from his new album which he revealed in a must-read interview with Vanity Fair is called "Swish." No word on what our President might do to impres.

Last, and also of great import from that interview with West: "I sit in clubs and I’m like, Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do, I’ve got a lot of growing up to do."
