When a drone carrying a camera in the sky high above the playa crash-landed — like a space probe on a new, dusty planet — the locals welcomed their newcomer as a new totem or god, dancing and performing for it.

Or that's what it looks like, anyway. The assembled Burning Man attendees really did flip out, but I guess they were already sort of flipping out before the thing arrived.

"This story is so Burning Man 2015," SFGate wrote (presumably because it involved a drone) leading some to wonder whether Burner officials are considering another intellectual property theft lawsuit. But probably the video, which is indeed so very Burning Man as to border on satire, will be safe under parody law.
