R&B star Janelle Monáe will be performing Sunday afternoon in the Mission at a concert and rally against police violence.

Monáe will be joined by Jidenna and fellow Wondaland Records artists at a concert organized in conjunction with the Bay Area Stop Mass Incarceration Network. According to the Facebook event page, the rally will be held at the corner of Mission and 24th at the BART station plaza. Aside from the performances, activists and family members of people killed by police will also be speaking. The event is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.

Earlier this week, Monáe released the song "Hell You Talmbout," a 6-and-a-half minute track calling out the names of victims of institutional violence.

A similar event was held in Los Angeles on Friday.
