When I first saw the off-brand stunt-double looking cast of the forthcoming Lifetime movie The Unauthorized Full House Story, I was worried, but maybe a little amused by the looks of the project. The punched-up behind-the-scenes "documentary" with reenactments arrives as part of a suite of (probably misplaced) nostalgia for Full House. That is, it's partially pegged to Netflix's revamp, Fuller House.
But, good news! The first clip from the Lifetime effort, which we present via Variety, is not that terrible! Way better than expected! These are solid impressions — particularly that Saget impersonation!
But don't let me damn this clip with faint praise. Take a look for yourself, and prepare to lavish your own faint praise upon it.
