You'd better start couching/sneezing/running to the bathroom today, so your "sick" call to work is believable on Friday — that's the day the Golden State Warriors will be taking their victory lap around Oakland (yes, Oakland), to the cheers of (estimated, but who knows, this is new territory for all of us!) thousands.

Though the victors will land at Oakland International Airport around 1:30 p.m. today, don't expect to be able to replay 1975's Warriors welcome home at SFO: CBS5 quotes the team's Communications Director ,Lisa Goodwin as saying “We do not have a location for fans [Wednesday], we can only accommodate media at the airport...Fans can show their support at the parade on Friday!”

According to the Warriors' site, Friday's parade and rally will kick off at 10:00 a.m. on Broadway at 11th Street in Oakland, and will end in a rally at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center. Here's a map of the route, which you can click on to enlarge toa legible degree.

Fans are expected to start lining up for the rally as early as 5:00 a.m. Friday at Lakeshore and 12th Street.

BART says they'll be running extra trains through Oakland all day, and "will modify routes to accommodate parade and rally attendants," they say. So keep an eye on those signs so you don't end up in Pleasanton or something!
