Each year, in preparation for her annual Pride blowout, local drag icon Juanita MORE! chooses a charity to be the beneficiary of proceeds from the party — which follows the parade on Pride Sunday and is often thought of as one of the most fun and popular events on the gay calendar. This year, Juanita is adding her love of cooking to the fundraising mix, and she's designed a menu that everyone can order off of Kitchit through the month of June, with all proceeds from that going to this year's Pride charity: YES, the annual Youth Empowerment Summit held by the Gay-Straight Alliance Network. Additionally, there's a benefit pop-up dinner to debut the Kitchit menu tomorrow, May 28, in the Mission, where Chef Juanita will be personally overseeing the food.

You can see the full menu below, but here's the deal: Kitchit is a chef-for-hire service in which trained professional chefs come to your come and cook a dinner party for you for anywhere from two to 12 people. They bring the food, prepare it, serve it, and clean up, and Kitchit recently launched a more accessible and budget-friendly brand of the service, dubbed Kitchit Tonight, in which catered meals come to you at $39 per person. The Juanita MORE! menu, benefiting YES, will be one of these meals starting on June 1.

For Thursday's benefit, though, which will feature some extra bells and whistles and more money going to LGBTQ youth empowerment, tickets are $100 per person, and can be found here. And if you can't attend, donations can be made there as well.

Juanita says, "This special menu starts with a fresh and simple garden salad representing my family's farm work [as cucumber pickers in Northern California]. The slow-roasted pork showcases my deep appreciation for my father’s patience in the kitchen. To end the meal the galette represents the fruit trees in my grandmother's East Bay garden."

The event is happening at 7 p.m. at the San Francisco Institute of Possibility at 3359 Cesar Chavez Street.
