Six weeks after Bridget Klecker was fatally mowed down by a car full of alleged armed robbers who were fleeing from the San Francisco Police Department, police say that they have tracked down and arrested three suspects in her death.

You recall, I'm sure, this horrible story. On April 10, police were pursuing suspects in a series of armed robberies when the suspects struck 42-year-old San Francisco resident Bridget Klecker as she was in the crosswalk at California Street and Kearny Street. Though police stopped to render aid to Klecker, she died from her injuries at San Francisco General Hospital.

Klecker had been on her way home from dinner with a friend in Chinatown when she was struck. An avid Giants fan, she managed Google's Steam and Victoria cafes.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle (a stolen Toyota Corolla) hit and injured another pedestrian, who has since recovered. Police found the car abandoned on Treasure island later that night, with no suspects in sight.

According to SFPD spokesperson Officer Grace Gatpandan, early Wednesday morning the SFPD Homicide Detail "several search warrants throughout the cities of San Francisco, Hayward, and Santa Rosa." As a result three SF men were taken into custody for "several crimes including robberies, evading police, and the murder of Bridget Klecker."

The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Robert Pelesauma, 19-year-old Hunter Sagaiga, and 18-year-old Faavesi Koka are all SF residents. They were all "taken into custody without incident," Gatpandan says, and were booked into San Francisco County Jail on homicide, conspiracy, evasion of police, possession of a stolen vehicle, and multiple robbery charges."
