The body of a 23-year-old San Francisco woman was discovered on a staircase near San Francisco's Ritz Carlton Hotel this morning, but according to the San Francisco Police Department, foul play isn't suspected.

According to Bay City News, around 2:50 Monday morning, police received a report of a woman lying dead on an apartment building staircase on the 600 block of Stockton Street, which is between Pine and California Streets. The Ritz-Carlton is located at 600 Stockton Street, immediately across from the scene (pictured above).

ABC7 reports that the San Francisco Medical Examiner has transported the woman's body to their office, and will be preforming an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

According to an ME's office spokesperson, the woman has been identified as Cecilia Fulton-Vicuna, a San Francisco resident.

As of Monday morning, SFPD did not have any additional details to report, but confirmed that foul play is not suspected in the death.
