Jumpin Java (139 Noe Street), one of the favorite cafe work spots of the Duboce Triangle neighborhood, known for its lax policy about letting you sit all day and its plentiful power outlets as much as for its decent coffee and sandwiches, is calling it quits after this weekend. As reported back in November, owner Anna Chen's lease went month-to-month this month, and with upgrades needed in the place, she wasn't comfortable going forward without a long-term lease. As Hoodline reports, the cafe's last day will be March 28, when there will be a closing party as well.

Despite there being a glut of coffeeshops around the Castro environs these days, Jumpin Java is pretty unique and no-frills, and was consistently filled with work-from-home types on any given day.

Regular customer David Ochroch tells Hoodline that he'll be very sad to see his "Church of Caffeinated Concentration" go away.
