Photographer Vincent LaFloret's stunning, color-enhanced aerial views of SF made the rounds last week, including a piece in the New York Times discussing his post-production process using Adobe Lightroom. As he explains, digital night photography has improved immensely in the last two years alone, and he shows off the results in an upcoming book called Air, which is now available for pre-sale. The book features nighttime aerials of SF along with New York, LA, Chicago, and Las Vegas, all with the same neon saturation and vividness.

"This has been one of the purest and most exciting projects of my career," LaFloret says. "This definitely feels like a once in a lifetime experience to me."

Above see some behind-the-scenes footage of him going up in a helicopter to do the SF shoot, along with the beautiful results.
