The San Francisco Police Department is searching for the person or persons responsible for a double stabbing in front of a popular Mission Street nightclub early Monday morning.
According to KRON4, an ambulance was called to the El Tapatio Night Club at 4742 Mission Street (between Leo Street and Onondega Avenue) at 1:50 this morning.
When medical responders arrived, they discovered one person suffering from stab wounds in the stomach, the other with stab wounds in the back. Both victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
According to a Yelp review of El Tapatio from 2011, "the crowd can be rough at times but it's a cool spot to just kick it and listen to some great Central American Music."
Due to the Martin Luther King holiday, San Francisco Police Department's media relations department is unstaffed and unavailable to provide additional information on the victims or suspects at publication time. However, KRON4 reports that "police are looking for potential witnesses and gathering forensic evidence at the scene."
