The SFPD tracked the car that was used in the quadruple homicide on Page Street ten days ago, which witnesses had suggested was a rental car, to a Hertz rental dealership in Walnut Creek last week. The car was returned early last week and police subsequently asked employees to alert them if the renter of the vehicle ever returned.
This led to an arrest by Walnut Creek police, as ABC 7 reports, after a Hertz employee thought they identified one of the renters of the car, who returned with a female companion.
As police descended on the location, with investigators from SF on their way, the suspects gave chase.
They were ultimately released by the Walnut Creek PD after questioning, but not before the dramatic, highly suspicious chase, and the locking down of a couple nearby schools.
The SFPD still has not identified any suspects in this case.
The four victims are all said to have been members of the Mac Block Gang, and members of the nearby Page Street Gang were thought to be possible suspects.
The SFPD is still seeking any information pertaining to the case, so if that may be you you should call 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
