As SFist reported on Friday, at approximately 10 p.m. that night near Page and Laguna Streets, four men were shot and killed inside a stolen vehicle in an incidence of what appears to be gang-related violence. Some are describing the quadruple homicide as a drive-by.

Police Chief Greg Suhr has called for more police patrols in the area, with Officer Albie Esparza saying, "The police department believes there is no threat to public safety in the neighborhood... additional police resources have been assigned to the area to address any potential for further violence."

Some of the approximately 15 shots fired flew through nearby homes, with one reportedly lodging in a refrigerator:

A vigil is planned for 6 p.m. tonight at the African American Art & Culture Complex on Fulton Street, about seven blocks from the crime scene. Following the vigil, residents and family members of the victims plan to march to the scene of the crime, as NBC Bay Area reports.

Authorities from the Medical Examiner's Office have released the names of the victims sitting inside the 2005 Honda Civic: Yalani Chinyamurindi, 19, of San Francisco; Harith Atchan, 21, of San Francisco; David Saucier, 20, of Antioch; and Manuel O’Neal, 22, with no permanent city of residence.

Police are seeking further information and assistance from the public, and no suspects have yet been arrested. As always, anyone with information about the crime is asked to call 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
