On February 6th, 2015, the Bay Area beer world will convene in the most cohesive SF Beer Week event. It's the Opening Gala, and tickets are out now for $75 and will sell out quick.

It's been a chance, at least in past years, to get some Pliny the Younger without braving the lines at Russian River or the elbows at the likes of Toronado or Beer Revolution. It's also a steal considering the quality and quantity of beer available.

This year's gala will take place not, as in past years, at the Concourse Exhibition Center, but instead at Fort Mason's Herbst Pavilion. As opposed to the diffuse and wonderful events of the rest of the week, it's the time and place to feel one with the beer gods and gurus.
