The former Blue restaurant space at 2337 Market Street, vacant for over two years, is finally getting a new tenant with a terrible, terrible name. It's called Tacorgasmico, and Hoodline notes that the sign just went up in the window announcing its arrival. The only details thus far are that it will serve "simple Mexican pleasures," according to the sign.

The fact that something is going into this empty space is good news for the neighborhood. But the fact that it's another taco shop isn't all that thrilling given that there's already Tacos Club across the street, the recently opened Hecho down the street, and several other taquerias in the neighborhood.

But yes, this does mean that one of multiple empty storefronts dotting the corridors of the Castro will get some new life soon — though when remains an open question, and the space still needs a full buildout.

Blue closed for good in June of 2012 not long after a temporary closure that appeared to be related to a plumbing or sewage problem — the entire middle of the restaurant and the sidewalk outside were excavated earlier that year.

We'll update you when Tacorgasmico looks ready to open.
