After numerous rape and sexual assault accusations against comedian Bill Cosby have come to the fore, networks such as Netflix are responding by pulling Cosby's work.

In a statement, the streaming service said that "at this time, we are postponing the launch of the new stand-up comedy special Bill Cosby 77," which was scheduled to be released next week. At this point, it's unclear whether it will see daylight at all, reports the Wall Street Journal, also noting that NBC has ditched plans for a new show with Cosby and that TV Land has pulled reruns of The Cosby Show.

The Netflix special was to commemorate Cosby's 77th birthday, and was taped at SF Jazz in July.According to the venue:

Mr. Cosby returns to the SFJAZZ Center where he performed a benefit concert last summer and was Master of Ceremonies at the Historic Opening Night Concert in 2013.

He has personally chosen the SFJAZZ Center for these live shows because, in his words, “it is a wonderful place for music, has great sound, there is not a bad seat in the house, and represents the cultural center of San Francisco."
