A 29-year-old Santa Cruz man's mugshot went viral over the weekend after he was arrested for allegedly attacking someone dressed as a Fox News anchor on Halloween. Screaming "I hate Fox News!", Sean Kory — who was dressed as Serena Williams and was carrying an aluminum tennis racket — allegedly made an obscene gesture at the victim, ripped away his microphone, and then attacked him with the racket, according to Santa Cruz police. This all happened at the town's annual Halloween parade.

According to the NY Daily News, Kory's "gesture" was rubbing the would-be Sean Hannity's* microphone against his crotch.

Because of his pretty green eyes and vague resemblance to "hot felon" Jeremy Meeks (but with dreadlocks), Kory has already made national and international headlines as the new "hot convict." He has, of course, not been convicted of anything yet.

The Halloween festivities in Santa Cruz sound like they were especially crazy this year. As the UK Daily Mail reports, 32 people were arrested in total, including some guy "dressed as Edward Scissorhands who was trying to cut down trees in the area."

On Twitter, Kory proclaimed his innocence, and says he threw the racket to the ground.

I think this just goes to show that a) a Fox News costume is never going to fly, even if it's ironic, in Santa Cruz, and b) Sean Kory was likely the hottest Serena Williams of Halloween 2014.

* News reports have not clarified which Fox anchor the victim was dressed as.
