You've been here. You've done it. You've got the leather harness in the back of your closet waiting to get dusted off. Allow me to join you in the jaded parade to San Francisco's most notorious outdoor kink fest, and offer up a few highlights that you may or may not already know about because this is not your first Folsom rodeo.

Yes, Folsom Street Fair [link semi-NSFW] weekend is upon us once more, the high holidays in both the gay and fetishists' calendars. Whether you occasionally dabble in the kinky side of life or not, many of you have wandered through this SoMa bacchanal often enough to know what to expect, and to know that you'll probably again see some coworker or random elderly person doing something you did not want to see them doing, in public [link, again, NSFW].

Now, some events happening starting tonight.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

Leather & Feathers: The AIDS Emergency Fund Turns 32

BondCon @ The Kink.com Armory
All weekend
The fun kicks off with the Fete de Kink tonight at Harlot, but all weekend The Armory will be giving tours and doing all kinds of kinky demos and seminars, including... wait for it... balloon bondage. More details here.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

Interior: Tonga Room
6 p.m.
950 Mason Street at California
The guys from Pop-Up Gay Bar are hosting this pop-up leather event, a tongue-in-cheek reference to that James Franco-produced documentary Interior. Leather Bar. Don some leather gear, or just a Hawaiian shirt, and join them at this guerrilla-queer-invasion of a classic Tiki bar.

Cub Scout @ the Lookout

Trannyshack: Kylie vs. Katy Perry @ DNA Lounge

Advance tickets here. $15 advance, $20 for meet-and-greet. $20 general at the door.

SatisFucktory @ Truck

A dirty, cruisy option to kick off the weekend, and did you know Truck is now serving boozy milkshakes? They are. They're made with Humphry Slocombe ice cream and cost $7.50.

FOLSOM Thing @ The Stud
10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
9th and Harrison

The SF Citadel Annual Folsom Eve Party
7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
181 Eddy Street
This would be a 7-hour "pansexual" play party that's been going on the last 9 years on Folsom eve, and where women and trans folk and all sexual orientations should feel comfortable. $40 at the door, or $30 advance.

Magnitude @ Treasure Island
9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Treasure Island
The official Saturday fetish/dance event by Folsom Street Events will be tourist central, and a shirtless morass, but if you want a great big sweaty gay party with a lot of harnesses, this is it. DJs Tony Moran and Tom Stephan headline. And yes, this year you will require transportation. There's free valet, if you drive, but they're running a fleet of shuttle busses starting at 8 p.m. on a constant loop which will pick people up at The Lookout, The Eagle, and at Mezzanine. Online tickets are sold out, but you can still get $100 tickets at Chaps and Phantom in the Castro, or at Mr. S Leather. Door tickets will be $125.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

Folsom Street Fair
11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
They'll be shutting down 13 city blocks, people, including Folsom from 7th to 12th Streets, and the crowd is estimated at about 400,000. Remember to stay hydrated, wear some sunblock (it's supposed to be partly sunny with a high of 70), and duck into bars where and whenever possible, if you partake in the alcohol. House parties abound for those in the know, but otherwise you may want to make it down there to see Jason Kendig DJ at the Deviants Stage (near 8th) at 1:30, Bright Light Bright Light perform on the Main Stage at 2:15, and house-music lovers will want to note the DJ lineup which includes Paul Goodyear at 12:30, Tracy Young at 1:30, and Alex Acosta at 4:45. That's at the Magnitude Stage near 12th Street.
