Foreign Cinema Rings In Fifteen Years With Big Quinceañera Party Thursday

It's hard to believe that Mission mainstay Foreign Cinema (2534 Mission Street) is already fifteen years old, having debuted at the height of the last big tech boom and survived the slumps that have come in between then and now. But it is! And in honor of the big anniversary, the restaurant is throwing itself a "Quintessentially Quixotic Quinceañera" on tomorrow night that will double as a benefit for a couple of local LGBT organizations.

The party, which is on Thursday, September 18 from 7 to 11 p.m., will feature unique burlesque and art performances in addition to food and drink, and it's being emcee'd by the always hilarious Trannyshack founder Heklina. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will also be there, and chef-owners John Clark and Gayle Pirie invite everyone for "evening filled with visual delights, sensual bites, sultry libations... and a few more extraordinary surprises."

Tickets are $100 and include plenty of food and drink, and proceeds will go to benefit LYRIC (an organization that foster community for LGBTQ youth), and the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy.
