Though we put in many requests to send a photographer to Paul McCartney's Thursday night show bidding adieu to Candlestick Park, we were ignored, but thankfully flickr user Lauren Friedman was there to capture a blast of pyrotechnics and fireworks lighting the stadium for the last time (well, until the dynamite hits it).
This being the 'Stick, people reported on Twitter that traffic was insane — including the Chronicle's Peter Hartlaub — and it took anywhere from three-and-a-half to four hours to get into the stadium.
