The Sheriff's Department is hoping the public can help identify this man who was found critically injured and unconscious near the intersection of Church and Duboce Streets around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. He was found, possibly shirtless, with pants but no wallet or ID on him, and the cause of his injuries remains unclear to doctors at S.F. General.

He's described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, 6 feet tall and weighing 146 pounds, as NBC Bay Area and CBS 5 reports. He has no tattoos, his hair is dyed blonde, and he has green eyes.

Was this an Outside Lands concert-goer who somehow got separated from his friends — and his wallet? The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about his identity, or where he may have been Saturday into Sunday, to contact them at 415-206-8063.

Update: A family member has positively identified the man. [SFGate]

Update 2: The SFPD is now classifying his case as an attempted murder, but no suspect is in custody. It is believed that the man, still not publicly identified, was assaulted with a deadly weapon. [Examiner]
