What's that about the drought? An allegedly drunk woman piloting a vintage Mercedes crashed into a fire hydrant in Oakland a few days ago, and we have some citizen-uploaded video footage. It was a gusher! And it appears that she (if it was in fact a she) drove off and perhaps was not apprehended?
YouTuber Chris Burns claims the driver was female, and drunk, but this can't be confirmed. And despite his "Only in Oakland" headline, we've actually seen this occur elsewhere before.
The video is a little too small to make out the license plate. But perhaps the police are on to this?
