The San Francisco Police Department are investigating two homicides from the last few days: a stabbing in a Geary Street hotel, and a shooting at 16th and Valencia.
According to SFPD spokesperson Officer Gordon Shyy, early Friday morning 30-year-old SF resident Lisa Heng (photo above) and a man identified by SF Weekly as 40-year-old Sausalito resident Matt Sheahan were arguing in a room in a hotel at Geary and Polk streets, when Heng allegedly stabbed Sheahan "in the upper body."
SFPD officers were called to the scene at around 6:15 a.m., at which time Sheahan was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. He succumbed to his injures at around 8 a.m.
Shyy says Heng "was arrested at the scene without incident," and is being held in custody on no bail on suspicion of murder, according to the San Francisco Sheriff's Department.
Shyy says that at this time, SFPD will not be releasing any other information regarding
Heng and Sheahan's relationship or what led up to the stabbing.
In San Francisco's second homicide in recent days, at about 1:30 Saturday morning, Shyy says that a man was shot "multiple times" near 16th and Valencia Streets in the Mission District.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old San Franciscan Benjamin Martinez, was taken to SF General, but died from his injuries.
Mission Local reports that a memorial that reads “Rest in Paradise Benny" has been left at the crime scene.
The suspect in the shooting, identified by police only as "a male suspect with a gun," fled and has not been found. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call SFPD at (415) 553-1145.
