They've done kittens, and tamales, and DeLorean rides. Now once again today, Uber is bringing back their two-year-old ice-cream-truck-hailing promotion for a few hours, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look on your Uber app after 11 and you'll see the ice cream icon, and if there's an available truck near you, you'll be able to call them over. For a flat $25 charge, you'll get five ice cream treats along with "some custom swag." And, obviously, no need to tip.

Just to give you an idea of how crazily fast this Bay Area company has grown, #UberIceCream Day in 2013 happened in 34 cities (18 in the U.S., and 16 international), and this year it's happening simultaneously in 144 cities across 38 countries. Who knew they had ice cream trucks in Beirut?

Now watch this goofy promo video they made for the Uber Ice Cream event in New York last summer, featuring a couple of non-actors.
