Just before 10 p.m. Monday night, a man was found stabbed to death near 16th and Capp Streets in the Mission. Barely 12 hours later, on Tuesday morning a man was found in Potrero Hill suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

In Monday night's incident, the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene There have been no arrests and SFPD has yet to release any leads or suspect descriptions.

In Tuesday morning's incident, the male victim believed to be in his 30s was found by officers near 25th and Connecticut Streets around 10 a.m. He was taken to San Francisco General where he was pronounced dead. According to SFPD spokesman Albie Esparza, no suspect information was immediately available in this case either.

Although San Francisco's homicide rate has been on the the decline, the two incidents this week mark the 12th and 13th homicides in the city this year, and the third in the past five days. On Friday, 25-year-old Dominic Anderson was shot and killed at the corner of 15th and Mission Streets. There have been no arrests in either of those three murders. A fourth homicide this month, in which 40-year-old Coquiese Walker was shot and killed in the Tenderloin, also remains unsolved.
