Afternoon Palate Cleanser: <i>A Film About Coffee</i>

"It's no longer a cup o' joe," as one narrator puts it. "It's now an adventure." That might inspire some ughs from some of you non-coffee-obsessives. But check out this trailer for A Film About Coffee, which screens tonight at the Castro Theatre. As San Francisco-based filmmaker Brandon Loper describes it, it's "a love letter to, and meditation on, specialty coffee." Also, "It examines what it takes, and what it means, for coffee to be defined as 'specialty.'" The screening is at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are $15. [Inside Scoop]
