On Sunday, Bay to Breakers swept through San Francisco for the 103rd time. Troubles with an "unsteady arch" at the starting line delayed the first wave of Bay to Breakers runners this morning, but the real crowds never see the starting line anyway.
Kenyan Geoffrey Kenisi won the 12k men's race with a sober time of 35:10 and Diane Johnson of Burundi won the women's 12k with a time of 40:10.
Although SFPD won't be releasing detailed arrest and citation numbers until Monday, but there were plenty of reports of Bay to Breakers-related shenanigans this afternoon. In Golden Gate Park, a naked man reportedly jumped the fence at the bison paddock. In the panhandle, there was a puking watermelon and SFPD officers collaring food vendors:

In Cole Valley, Scooby Doo was apparently causing trouble:

All told, there were 24 arrests reported, including two for felony narcotics possession and several "quality of life" arrests. There were 40,000 participants total, an estimated 100,000 spectators and, of course, countless citation-free instances of public urination.
