Did you stay up past midnight to catch the end of last night's Giants-Dodgers game? I sure did. Thrilling, exasperating stuff. Going into 12 innings, the game lasted almost 5 hours (4 hours and 54 minutes, to be exact). Hector Sanchez singled home the winning run, helping SF beat LA, 3-2.

The best part was when the Giants spilled out onto the field, piling on Sanchez who curled into a protective ball just before Brandon Belt kneed him in the butt. At the :45 mark:

Delightful.

As for Sanchez's family, they were at the game, but left the park before it went into extra innings. "They've been waiting for 3 hours," Sanchez said. "My daughter has school tomorrow."

Giants take on the Dodgers again tonight at 7:15.
