San Francisco's perpetual mayor and #1 power luncher Willie Brown turned 80 years young yesterday. We here from SFist would like to wish a very happy birthday to the city's avuncular octogenarian!
Da Mayor spent last night celebrating at a photography gallery on Pier 24, the Chronicle's Catherine Bigelow reports. For his big birthday surprise, Bigelow says, Willie's favorite clothier Wilkes Bashford dragged his longtime friend Bill Cosby away from dinner. "We drove across your bridge today," Cosby told the crowd of local power brokers and Brown-nosers. "But it’s only half-a-bridge!"
Expect a full party report in his Willie's World Chronicle column this Sunday, followed by an advertorial about the catering company in an Inside Scoop post next Wednesday.
