Two Construction Workers Seriously Injured After Scaffolding Collapses In SoMa

One construction worker fell 40 feet and another fell 30 feet while installing a scaffolding at a construction site at 350 Mission Street in SoMa this afternoon. According to San Francisco Fire Department spokesperson Mindy Talmadge, both workers were taken to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon. 350 Mission Street is near Fremont Street and is the site of a rapidly ascending 30-story office tower that will eventually serve as Salesforce.com's new headquarters.
