NOT THAT IT MATTERS, but if you for some reason still have an interest in watching the Super Bowl and you haven't canceled your Super Bowl party, Rosa Mexicano would like to sell you some made-to-order guacamole, and 4505 Meats is making something called Magic Bacon Bombs that you might enjoy too.

First, Rosa Mexicano, the one-year-old, upscale, downtown Mexican spot is doing a Guac-to-Go Party Pack with their guacamole made in a real lava rock molcajete. It is, we can say, good guacamole (Martha Stewart has actually raved that it's the "best guacamole in the world"), and even if you're only having five people over this isn't a terrible deal. Orders must be placed by next Friday, January 31, at 5 p.m., and the guacamole will get delivered to your door on Super Bowl Sunday, complete with fresh corn tortillas and homemade tortilla chips. Guac for 5 starts at $25, and you can get a pack to serve 20 people for $100. Call 415-874-4300.

Obviously, this is only a deal if you are intimidated by the process of making guacamole yourself, which is not, in fact, that difficult.

In other Super Bowl food news, 4505 Meats is doing some special stuff both at their farmers' market stand and at their butcher shop at 15th and Mission. They're selling chorizo queso dip for $8.99/pint, smoked chicken wings for $6.50/lb, their signature bacon-studded hot dogs for $10.99/lb, and Magic Bacon Bombs, which are jalapeños stuffed with chorizo queso and wrapped in 4505 Meats' bacon, for $2 apiece. Find them at the Ferry Building on Saturday, February 1, and at the shop (1909 Mission Street) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 2. Note that they'll be closing early on game day.
