Hey, snobs, Guy Fieri dropped another Johnny Garlic’s spore over the weekend, this one in Brentwood (2505 Sand Creek). Yay? Inside Scoop has intriguing menu details:

The Contra Costa County outpost of Johnny Garlic’s features a similar menu its predecessors, full of extreme-sounding, fusion-influenced dishes like Cajun Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Volcano Chicken, as well as grammatically questionable moments like “Pepperoni Mozzarella Stix.” Fireball shots are $3.50 everyday, and Wednesdays feature half-priced “Bowlas” like the Mucho Mojito, Shark Attack, and/or Love Juice.

But what are people — real people (i.e., not you!) — saying about Mr. Fieri's eighth installment to his gastronomic oeuvre? Well, let's see what folks on Yelp have to say. (As always, Yelp reviews should be taken with a giant salt lick. Please be advised.)

Amanda C. (FIVE STARS):

Loved loved loved it! Kids loved it! Husband loved it and I loved it! Will definitely be returning very soon. My only request is that they open for lunch during the week :)

Bernadette B. (FIVE STARS):

Okay, I have to admit I was really upset when I heard Grazie's was closing! I had been going for years and couldn't imagine that anything that would take its place would be a better choice. That being said, This establishment is OUTSTANDING in every possible way!

My Husband, Our 5 year old & I went for dinner.
They text your phone when your table is ready, instead of a giving you a pager. Which I thought was Really cool! (but what happens if your phone dies? Or you don't own a cell phone?) Maybe I'm the only one that thinks of the worst possible scenario? Ha ha.

John Y. (FIVE STARS)

I had eaten at tex wasabi in sac before and it sucked. I was a little unsure about visiting another GF restaurant. Glad I did. Guy, you totally redeemed yourself. The food and service were both amazing. I will be back for sure.

Delightful.

Back in November of 2012, if you recall, your friend who went as Walter White for Halloween thought this NYT review of the NYC Johnny Garlic's was the most amazing thing to ever happen in print and posted it to his Facebook wall, even though the review was, at heart, a classically bloggy piece and ultimately not that original.
