A badly decomposed body was spotted floating in the water by a passerby walking their dog Saturday morning near McCovey Cove and AT&T Park. Few details are yet known, including the gender of the person, but police are saying that foul play is not suspected.

The body was spotted near Pier 48 around 8:10 a.m., and all they're saying is that it is the body of an adult.

This is sounding like a likely suicide, and one that occurred many days prior, but we'll update you if we learn more.
